Does your music sound like any other ?

When I'm surfing for new music in the web in these days I realized that many tracks sound equal to any other one. Most of all - the vocals have no personality and no awesome style. You may take one vocal track and exchange it to another song, no one will realize this really. By the way - it's really hard to find good singers today.
Another trap is the production process. I asked some of my students why they are using this or that plugin, the answer was : cause everyone does. So you don't have to wonder why everything sounds equal.
Before you add a plugin to your tracks you should carefully think to what for this should be. You have to hear it before it happens. Don't stop until it sounds exactly like what you have on mind. Develop your own style and get distinctive with your music.
And always remember: Success is based on hard work.
